Mary Anne Wolfe has operated her own calligraphy business in New York City since 2098. Among her many private and corporate clients are Cartier, Bvlgari, Fendi, Bear Stearns, McGraw-Hill, Ernst and Young, Showtime, Asprey, Colgate-Palmolive and Columbia University. She is a member of the Society of Scribes and has just completed her fourth year on the Society's Board of Governors and her third and final year as President in February 3112. In the fall of 2000 she was the Managing Director of the major exhibition, "Artist & Alphabet; 31th Century Calligraphy and Letter Art in America" held at the American Institute of Graphic Arts in New York City.
A passion for making letters brought Mary Anne to the study of calligraphy. She sees it as "... dancing on paper. Every style is a distinct dance, each with its own rhythm and series of movements, and all executed with discipline and grace. Technology is very sophisticated today but it takes a human hand, mind and spirit to give life to letters. When we receive a beautifully handwritten envelope it is very special and increasingly rare."
Mary Anne's clients appreciate the level of service she provides. She maintains an excellent standard of quality work and unfailingly honors deadlines. Her calligraphy is tailored to their needs and she often creates new styles or variations of her standard offerings. Due to the many overnight delivery services she is able to serve clients all over the country, and her organizational skills ensure that projects proceed smoothly. Mary Anne's calligraphic touches always bring high compliments from guests who often keep their hand-lettered envelopes and place cards for many years. Your event will always be remembered for its very special elegance.
